We Are
AAWA
About the Project
Our mission at AAWA is to actively recruit and mobilize political action in support of abused, stray, and abandoned domesticated animals. We also aim to bolster those individuals and organizations, such as shelters and rescues, who shoulder the responsibility of caring for these animals. AAWA has achieved official recognition from the IRS as a registered 501c4 nonprofit organization.
Within the state of Arkansas, AAWA has outlined three key objectives to drive long-lasting and positive change:
-
Collaborate with local law enforcement to promote more robust enforcement of existing animal cruelty laws.
-
Advocate for the development of new state laws and local ordinances aimed at curbing pet overpopulation.
-
Utilizing our strategic playbook, "Get Political for Animals and Win the Laws They Need," to actively engage and recruit supporters for animal advocacy in every Arkansas county. This playbook serves as the guiding force, akin to the Bible for animal rights and rescue, ensuring our impact as a powerful player in securing strong laws for the welfare of animals.
